Happy 4th birthday Ernie, happy 2nd birthday Kez :).

Yep, 5th October :). Ernie's now 4! Wow, doesnt time fly :). Hes grown so much from that tiny little puppy, and has come so far! Hes still a typical annoying terrier, and still as annoying as ever, but hes just so darn cute and so happy to please all the time, that you just cant help but smile. He sure is a yapper, but only when out, once in you dont notice him :). Hes not too much of an agility fan, but sure can be speedy when he wants to be :). Hes an all round perfect dog, and heres to many many many more years to come :). My wonderful little white dog!

Well, Kez's first birthday with us! The big 2! No longer a baby! Shes still as naughty as ever, and has not grown up whatsoever. She has come a long way in just a few months of living with us though. Shes happier, more confident, and more trusting of us. Shes an all round cool little dog, and heres to many more years of her craziness and her just down-right cuteness :).

So for now some photos of Kez and Ernie as pups, to now. Kez has got a brilliant down now, to match her brilliant smile :').

Here comes Autumn :).

October is most definantly here :). Along with the rain, cold and... lots of leaves! Yes, Autumn wouldnt be Autumn without being dragged in the road by Indi after a leaf, or Indi trying to kill himself after a leaf...

But the Autumn brings cold, and we love cold :). Ernie's enjoying walks more and his skin is looking better, as you will see from the pics, hes more white again :).

Well today we went to a flyball competition. Unfortunately, starters wasnt on, so we spent the day getting wet, cold and exploring the absolutely beautiful country park. We went here last year, but I only had Ernie and he competed so we only stayed in one field. Today we ventured a bit and the fields were beautiful. Being a country park, it also had a few little childrens play area bits. The first one we came across was a 'leap frog'. Had to take a photo of the dogs with it, I thought it was funny :). Then we came across some that could be used for agility jumps. Indi had a whale of a time jumping, and proved that he really is a Springer! Got some video footage of him jumping HIGH!
There was just so much walking space. We could have walked all day, but we didnt. Maybe next year ;). Koko came with us on the looong walk and might as well have been my dog! Yeah, he thinks me and my dogs are way more fun when were around and loves to come and join in with us.

Indi had a few problems at the beginning and was being a bit naughty around the other dogs and pulling on the lead, but as the day went on he improved, and I got a photo of him walking with a dog he didnt know, with dogs he didnt know nearby. An improvement for sure. Still a long way to go, but hes almost 100% trustworthy off-lead now with the dogs in our flyball team.

I also added some photos of Indi swimming! Yes, I finally have a swimmer! Obviously, these were taken on Wednesday, not today. Hes only recently got the confidence to swim properly, he preferred walking on his back legs... he still makes a splash but being Indi, of course he wants to be different ;). I'm just pleased I finally have a dog that swims.

Oh, and if you hadnt noticed already, Im back to my new camera. Yes, its so much better and the photos are good again :). So, for now, some photos of Indi swimming and some photos from today :).

Last summer camping trip :).

We've been camping all weekend, and it was absolutely brilliant :). We were camping at the same place we camped at earlier in the year, but were in a different field and behind it was a different walk for us to explore :). Behind the field was one absolutley huge field, with hills to climb, trees to sniff and tonnes of space to run. The dogs LOVED it! It was also an absolutely beautiful place for photos :). When the sun did come out of course, we had our fair share of rain I think its safe to say.
Lots of new puppy photos of puppy Koko too. Yes, hes still obsessed with me and doesnt leave my side the whole camping trip :). We trained some little puppy tricks and he learnt a straight jump in the air and some twists and spins. He sure is a sweet puppy, and as you can see from the photos, hasnt he grown up fast! His colouring is so unusual too, hes a tri red merle Border collie, which Ive never seen before that dark. It'll be interesting to see what he grows into. Ive seen a smooth coated tri red merle before, but never a long-haired, so it will be very interesting. Dont worry, I'll keep posting photos as he grows up :). He's 6 months old now :).
On the last day Indi also competed in flyball again. We came 7th but thats because we had two dogs that messed up a lot, but I didnt mind because Indi got to play and had the time of his life. He was so good, and so fast! There was a complete stranger on the box, and he let her hold him, and went running up to that box and back really well. I was so impressed! He was one of the best dogs in the team, along with crossbreed Alfie and Border Collie Faye :). Also, for the first time ever, he was going up and greeting dogs and being completely friendly. He even went up to a black lab and was completely friendly! He did bark afterwards, but there was no attacking. What a good boy :). He also had a lot of dogs go for him, 2 dogs went for him and he was spooked a couple of times by dogs barking at him. He handled it so well, and I was so pleased. He really has come so far! What a good boy :).
So for now some pics from our walks in the fields, its a shame summers ending so soon.

Summertime :).

Well, we've had a few dreary weeks. Lots of rain, thunderstorms and even a flood! The dogs have had quite a few wet walks ;). One walk where we went to the beach we got caught in a bit of a thunderstorm, and literally ran home! We were drenched from head to toe when we got in :). For the first time in summer ever, Kez has has to wear a coat! It hasnt been good!
But since Wednesday the weathers been improving. On Wednesday we went to the beach, and Indi may just finally be getting the hang of swimming! Hes still a bit unsure of the ground disappearing underneath him, and was even standing on his back legs at some points to make himself taller! But he is swimming more and more!
Other than that, not a lot to report. Back to school soon, so walking time will lessen, but we'll still make room :). Summer has gone so quick, its been good though :). Indi's improved so much since last summer and is improving more and more everyday. Today a dog appeared out of nowhere (he was still on the lead) but he just looked then turned his head and carried on. What an improvement :).
Oh and I finally scanned Indis flyball pic onto the computer. Isnt it great :). Such focus! Well for now some pics from our summer walk today, we had a photoshoot on a haystack, and even with my rubbish 5 yr old camera, the photos still came out great :).

Indi's first flyball competition!

Well for the last week we've been camping. You may recognise the location as I took Ernie hiking in the same place a few months back when Koko had just arrived. The location was beautiful, hills and fields behind went on forever and every day either in the morning or evening we went for a lovely hike exploring the beautiful scenery. It was the longest time any of them had been away, and they all coped really well and loved it! Ernie was so ready to go home, so was Kez, but Indi would have happily stayed there!
Kez actually came up with my parents on the Monday, and then we all went home on the Friday. It was a great week, and a fantastic experience for the dogs, especially Indi.
So, on the Monday there was a starters competition :). As on the last comp Ernie was very unmotivated and not really enjoying it, I have decided to stop competing with him. I think the environment was just too much for him, he just prefers to come for the long hikes :). So, Indi went in:). The first run didnt go to well, he was a bit confused as to what he was doing seeing as this was only the 3rd time he'd done proper flyball runs and his first ever time in a competition environment. But after that, well wow! He ran so well, and was fast too! As the day went on he just got faster and faster :). He loved it too! All in all he came 2nd, the highest Ive ever come with any of my dogs. Afterwards everyone was telling me how well he did :). The fact he did it, as he is such a nervous dog, was enough to make me smile but coming 2nd! Well done my crazy little Indi :).
So, it was a brilliant week :). I do have a photo of Indi doing flyball done by a proffessional that cost me £6.00 but its just so good, that I will have to scan it onto the computer :).

So for now some photos of the wonderful hikes we went on. Would be more photo's, but my new camera broke so I was back to my 5 year old, tempromental one. Saying that, some of the photos did come out great :). And it wasnt too sunny either, so Ernie was happy to go running for hours without the worry of the sun and heat. What a great week it was:).

Indi's first camping trip :)

Yep, Indi came :). And he looved it. He was such a good boy. From the first night he was staying by my side, off-lead, the whole time everywhere with lots of dogs around. And when a BC called Faye came over he played with her! Indi, playing with a big dog?!?! Wow! He was so good and didnt attack one dog at all. He had a bark at a couple of dogs, like a big black lab and funnily enough the one that attacked him in the first place, but other than that he was super! What an improvement!
The place was beautiful too. The field we camped on was quite small, but there werent that many of us on it so it was big enough for short fields. Behind the field though there were beautiful valleys, woods and paths. So, we spent some time walking there and Indi and Ernie ADORED it! It was great just strolling along with Indi without the worry of keep putting him on the lead, and he had great fun running! There were lots of hills, lots of grass and some woods to go hiking through as well. It was just brilliant!
Indi also did some flyball and did the box for the first time. He wasnt as great as he could have been, but then it was very hot. He did the box though, and thats the main thing. He just needs to build his confidence up now :).
I do love my Indi, he sure is one very special dog. Of course, Ernie was there too and looved it, but he has very bad skin at the moment so needs to be kept out of the sun as much as possible. He came on our hikes though, and had great fun exploring the new surroundings :).
So all in all what a fantastic weekend! Good doggies :).

So here are some pics from the weekend. Hasnt Koko grown :).
