As 2010 comes to a close...

Wow, it sure has been a fast year! It hasnt been a great year, personally for me. But all in all, its been good. Ive done more this year than I could have ever imagined I would and looking back at my list of things to do in 2010, ive done most! We sure have had fun :).

So heres our 2010 highlights and achievments:-

- Indi competed in flyball for the first time and came 2nd!
- Indi went camping for the first time!
- Indi able to be let off - lead around flyball dogs muzzle-less!
- Indi swam!
- Indi went took part in an agility class, and was the best there!
- Indi performed his tricks in front of a top trainer at paws in the park!
- Indi has just started the basics of tree agility!
- Indi's lead - walking is improving... slowly!
- Ernie competed in YKC obedience and came 1st (being the only one in the class!)
- Ernie learnt tonnes of new tricks (back up onto wall, on my back etc.)
- Indi and Ernie went for the longest camping trip they've been on, and enjoyed every second!
- More playing in the snow... and lots of it!
- Taking on Kez.
- Teaching Kez tonnes of new tricks.
- Gaining puppy Sherman.

So, some new goals for 2011 :-

- Keep on working on Indi's aggression to other dogs.
- Keep working on Indi's pulling on the lead.
- Increase Indi's confidence in water :).
- Keep working on Ernie's obedience.
- Work on Kez's confidence around everything, mainly other dogs.
- Maybe start tree agility with Kez.
- Have tonnes of fun :).

So yeah, we'll see what 2011 brings :). Kez's confidence is a BIG aim. Today a Pointer came up to her and wouldn't leave her alone, and she showed the first bit of aggression ive seen from her. So, we'll have to do a lot of work on that. Indi is getting better around other dogs, but we still have a long way to go. We wont give up though :). Losing Max was one of the hardest things this year, but hes not in pain anymore and thats the most important thing. Competing and camping with Indi was a HUGE highlight, its taken so long to get to that point :). I still remember the days when he ran around the flyball ring chasing leaves :). Hes still OBSESSED with leaves, but he can forget about them when theres something more interesting going on :).

So, we shall see what the next year brings :). No new photo's, the snows all disappeared now. I think the dogs are glad for a break from walking on the freezing cold ice, especially Ernie :). Oh and Shermans going for walks now too! So as soon as we venture to off-lead walks photos will be coming :).

Sunny snow day :)

Yep, snows still here, and not going anywhere fast! Or so we hope. Saying that we are forecast rain, so it might be gone tomorrow! But, today the sun was out and I was out with my other camera, yes my other ones broke again - for good this time. Although, I do think my older one is 100 x better. The photos came out much better than any of the others and is seems to be much tougher ;).
At the moment were all wishing for a white christmas, but the chances of that are very very low. Were enjoying the snow A LOT while its here though :). Indi loves jumping for the snowballs, Ernie loves running through it, Kez loves it as long as there are no other scary dogs around and Lola loves it for 2 minutes.
Its great for photos though :). Its even better when theres only a little bit, and its icy as we can still play without Indi's snowball problem! Yay! Hence why the photos are mainly of him ;).

Well for now, here are some photos from today :).

Another snowfall?!

Yep, another snowfall! This time last year was the time we had our first majoy snowfall... ever! And this is our 2nd one this year... and its still only December. Very bizarre... but we sure are making the most of it!
Today we woke up to a sprinkling of snow, but mainly it was just ice everywhere. So me and Indi went for a long, frozen walk around the fields first thing. No snow, which was good because it meant no snowballs ;). Then, while walking Lola and Ernie, it started snowing. And it started snowing heavy, and got heavier and heavier until eventually it was a blizzard. We could hardly see in front of us! Ernie thought it was great fun, starting off with a few dots of white on the ground to by the end everything being completely white! Lola however, was unamused. Then, I walked Kez and it stopped snowing, but left behind a good few centimetres for us to play in :).
I dont think this snow will be sticking around though, so we sure have been taking advantage. Everything looked so stunning and beautiful that, of course, a photoshoot was needed.
So, here are some photos from today, playing in the snow. The last few are from this time last week, down the beach with Koko and his gang. Well, just Koko really. He's turning into a handsome boy :). Kez was with us too, she was fairly good being with her previous family, but we still have a lot of work to do. She still couldnt resist chasing my nans BC's. Ernie wasnt with us as he'd been limping again after running through frozen fields with Kez. Hence why, Im not walking Kez and Ernie together for a while, just to give Ernie's paw a chance to recover.

So, enjoy :).

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Winter has arrived, with a vengeance. Last night it started snowing around half 6 and now, at 7.20pm the next day it is still snowing and hasnt stopped! We thought last year was bad... this is officially the deepest snow we've ever had here! Ernie was up to his neck in it! Oh and yes, his limping has stopped now so after 3 days he sure was happy to be back out and about :).

So the schools were closed, and we spent the day walking, playing and getting cold :). Got some photos of all 5 dogs in the snow today... for a change! I took Indi out on his own first and didnt go very far for very long so as to minimise the snowballs in his fur. He still came back with a fair few. Then took Ernie on his own, then my mum decided to take Lola and Kez, so then Kez stayed with me and we had a lovely long walk. The views were stunning, the snow was beautiful and as we walked it was just getting thicker and thicker, and as we speak is still getting thicker and thicker!

So we had absolutely great fun. We took tonnes of photos, and so here are just a few :). Enjoy!
