Last summer camping trip :).

We've been camping all weekend, and it was absolutely brilliant :). We were camping at the same place we camped at earlier in the year, but were in a different field and behind it was a different walk for us to explore :). Behind the field was one absolutley huge field, with hills to climb, trees to sniff and tonnes of space to run. The dogs LOVED it! It was also an absolutely beautiful place for photos :). When the sun did come out of course, we had our fair share of rain I think its safe to say.
Lots of new puppy photos of puppy Koko too. Yes, hes still obsessed with me and doesnt leave my side the whole camping trip :). We trained some little puppy tricks and he learnt a straight jump in the air and some twists and spins. He sure is a sweet puppy, and as you can see from the photos, hasnt he grown up fast! His colouring is so unusual too, hes a tri red merle Border collie, which Ive never seen before that dark. It'll be interesting to see what he grows into. Ive seen a smooth coated tri red merle before, but never a long-haired, so it will be very interesting. Dont worry, I'll keep posting photos as he grows up :). He's 6 months old now :).
On the last day Indi also competed in flyball again. We came 7th but thats because we had two dogs that messed up a lot, but I didnt mind because Indi got to play and had the time of his life. He was so good, and so fast! There was a complete stranger on the box, and he let her hold him, and went running up to that box and back really well. I was so impressed! He was one of the best dogs in the team, along with crossbreed Alfie and Border Collie Faye :). Also, for the first time ever, he was going up and greeting dogs and being completely friendly. He even went up to a black lab and was completely friendly! He did bark afterwards, but there was no attacking. What a good boy :). He also had a lot of dogs go for him, 2 dogs went for him and he was spooked a couple of times by dogs barking at him. He handled it so well, and I was so pleased. He really has come so far! What a good boy :).
So for now some pics from our walks in the fields, its a shame summers ending so soon.

Summertime :).

Well, we've had a few dreary weeks. Lots of rain, thunderstorms and even a flood! The dogs have had quite a few wet walks ;). One walk where we went to the beach we got caught in a bit of a thunderstorm, and literally ran home! We were drenched from head to toe when we got in :). For the first time in summer ever, Kez has has to wear a coat! It hasnt been good!
But since Wednesday the weathers been improving. On Wednesday we went to the beach, and Indi may just finally be getting the hang of swimming! Hes still a bit unsure of the ground disappearing underneath him, and was even standing on his back legs at some points to make himself taller! But he is swimming more and more!
Other than that, not a lot to report. Back to school soon, so walking time will lessen, but we'll still make room :). Summer has gone so quick, its been good though :). Indi's improved so much since last summer and is improving more and more everyday. Today a dog appeared out of nowhere (he was still on the lead) but he just looked then turned his head and carried on. What an improvement :).
Oh and I finally scanned Indis flyball pic onto the computer. Isnt it great :). Such focus! Well for now some pics from our summer walk today, we had a photoshoot on a haystack, and even with my rubbish 5 yr old camera, the photos still came out great :).

Indi's first flyball competition!

Well for the last week we've been camping. You may recognise the location as I took Ernie hiking in the same place a few months back when Koko had just arrived. The location was beautiful, hills and fields behind went on forever and every day either in the morning or evening we went for a lovely hike exploring the beautiful scenery. It was the longest time any of them had been away, and they all coped really well and loved it! Ernie was so ready to go home, so was Kez, but Indi would have happily stayed there!
Kez actually came up with my parents on the Monday, and then we all went home on the Friday. It was a great week, and a fantastic experience for the dogs, especially Indi.
So, on the Monday there was a starters competition :). As on the last comp Ernie was very unmotivated and not really enjoying it, I have decided to stop competing with him. I think the environment was just too much for him, he just prefers to come for the long hikes :). So, Indi went in:). The first run didnt go to well, he was a bit confused as to what he was doing seeing as this was only the 3rd time he'd done proper flyball runs and his first ever time in a competition environment. But after that, well wow! He ran so well, and was fast too! As the day went on he just got faster and faster :). He loved it too! All in all he came 2nd, the highest Ive ever come with any of my dogs. Afterwards everyone was telling me how well he did :). The fact he did it, as he is such a nervous dog, was enough to make me smile but coming 2nd! Well done my crazy little Indi :).
So, it was a brilliant week :). I do have a photo of Indi doing flyball done by a proffessional that cost me £6.00 but its just so good, that I will have to scan it onto the computer :).

So for now some photos of the wonderful hikes we went on. Would be more photo's, but my new camera broke so I was back to my 5 year old, tempromental one. Saying that, some of the photos did come out great :). And it wasnt too sunny either, so Ernie was happy to go running for hours without the worry of the sun and heat. What a great week it was:).
